How to save

Spend not where you may save; spare not where you must spend
~ John Ray

Every reasonable person who cares about the future, thinks about how they can save their money, especially when it comes to such an important and costly as air conditioning and heating systems.

In this matter it is important to understand what can be saved, and what savings may turn out to have additional costs. We care about you, and try to collect here a few tips using which you can avoid unnecessary expenses now and in the future.

High-efficiency heating and cooling equipment

If your HVAC equipment is more than 10 years old or not keeping your house comfortable, it’s time to choose a new air-conditioning system or replace the existing.

Choose an air conditioner with a high SEER (Seasonal energy efficiency ratio).  The higher the unit’s SEER rating the more energy efficient it is, the less your electricity bill will be. The difference in the energy consumption of the air conditioner with high and low SEER can reach 60%.

Installing a programmable thermostat. Using a modern thermostat and control system, you can achieve perfect comfort and at a time when it is needed, also reducing your energy bills by 10-30%.

By purchasing a modern management system, you gain more mobility and control, you can monitor the work of your air conditioning unit and control it wherever you are at any time with your smartphone or laptop. Calling to us, you get a free full consultation to know exactly what you need worked on.

Preventative maintenance

Tune up your HVAC equipment. Proper maintenance by a qualified technician is  one of the most important steps you can take to prevent future problems.  Your HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) should work with maximum energy efficiency, without accidents and costly repairs. If you care about your comfort and do not like unpleasant surprises then we have specially designed three programs for preventative maintenance.

Change your air filters regularly. The authoritative Agency ENERGY STAR recommends doing it every 3 months. A dirty filter will slow down air flow and make the system work harder to keep you warm or cool which leads to wasting energy. A clean filter will also prevent dust and dirt from building up in the system, leading to expensive maintenance and/or early system failure.

Seal your heating and cooling ducts. Ducts that move air to-and-from a forced air furnace, central air conditioner, or heat pump are often big energy wasters. Sealing and insulating ducts can improve the efficiency of your heating and cooling system by as much as 20 percent  and sometimes much more.
